We milled eight benches out of EPS. On top of that, we made four starting blocks out of polystyrene and MDF, as well as a polystyrene diving board we reinforced with steel and MDF. Combined with the blue floor, they now form The Splash, a new meeting place in Rotterdam, a stone's throw away from Ahoy. This pool-shaped applied artwork by Arttenders and Cindy Bakker combines functionality, art and urban development through social design. As soon as the corona measures allow, it will also be used as a podium for the city programme of the Eurovision Song Contest.
